Mike Godfrey qualified LRCP.MRCS (England) and MBBS (London) in 1963. He joined a General Practice in Mt Maunganui, New Zealand in 1971, after seven years in various hospital posts in England. He left general practice in 1986 to establish an environmental health and chelation clinic in Tauranga.
Dr Godfrey is a founding member and past-President of the NZ Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology, and a Clinical Associate of the Graduate School of Integrative Medicine, Swinburn University, Melbourne. Post-graduate qualifications and appointments: 1989 Diploma American Board of Chelation Therapy. Recertified 1994,1999; 1991 Fellow of American College of Advancement in Medicine (FACAM); 1996 Fellow of Australasian College of Nutrition and Environmental Medicine (FACNEM); 2000 Clinical Associate (visiting lecturer) Swinburne University, Melbourne; 2003 Board member of International Board of Clinical Metal Toxicology. Conference presentations: Dr Godfrey has presented 14 clinical papers at post-graduate medical conferences in America, Australia, Germany, India and New Zealand between 1989 and 2007. He was a lecturer for chelation and heavy metal toxicity at Fellowship training courses for the ACNEM, Melbourne, 1998-2004, and Auckland Medical School GP CME training in 1999. Publications:
