2011 Northland Regional Council Response 8 December 2011

8 December 2011

Physicians & Scientists for Global Responsibility

Dear Madam

RECEIPT OF YOUR DRAFT NEW REGIONAL POLICY STATEMENT FEEDBACK

Thank you very much for taking the time to send us your feedback on the Draft New Regional Policy Statement (RPS) for Northland.

Your input is an important part of the regional council's process to develop a new RPS.  Over the coming months, once all feedback has been collated and analysed, the Regional Policy & Development Committee will review the information provided by you and others, to evaluate what changes should be made to the working draft documents.  At this stage we anticipate the next iteration of the RPS - the "Proposed New RPS" - will be released for formal public consultation under Schedule 1 of the Resource Management Act 1991 in about May 2012.

As you have provbided feedback, we will add your details to our contacts database and write to you as the project progresses.

Once again, thank you for providing feedback.  As we work through the issues that will eventually result in the publication of a Proposed RPS in 2012, we hope the level of interest and community participation continues to grow.

Yours faithfully

Jonathan Gibbard

New RPS Project Manager
