2024 Update - science, governance & health

For 25 years the Physicians and Scientists for Global Responsibility New Zealand Charitable Trust (PSGRNZ) has produced reports and submitted to government Bills and Inquiries. We're branching out with New Zealand-relevant videos (posted on our YouTube channel @PSGRNZ) and new or republished articles including podcasts on our Substack @PSGRNZ and podcasts published on Spotify. We're particularly interested in challenging discussions that shed light on risk, technology, pollution, open-ended systems, and the safe, long-term stewardship of human and environmental health.

This 2024 Newsletter Update (PDF) aims to inform members and colleagues – and act as a go-to summary of our recent work.

As well as our recent work, all PSGR’s submissions are available to the public on our Submissions pages.  @PSGRNZ can be found on LinkedIn, Twitter, Odysee, Youtube, Spotify & Instagram.

PSGRNZ REPRESENTS A DIVERSE QUORUM OF INQUIRING MINDS

The PSGR recognise that the perspectives that have been expressed by the PSGR from 2020 onwards will not necessarily reflect the perspectives of all trustees and all members.

However, we sincerely hope that PSGR’s perspectives are more likely to reflect the perspectives of the majority of our membership and of collegial organisations – which represents a diverse quorum of inquiring minds.

We hope that we have demonstrated a consistency to our work, that reflects and upholds the principles reflected in 25 years of research, information communications and submissions to policy.
