The genetic modification of human beings (HGM) is medically unnecessary and unethical. HGM is mired in uncertainty, due not only to the complexity of gene/environment function, and the open-ended nature of biological/gene function including epigenetic interaction. Scalability and off-target effects, often downplayed by genetic and biotech scientists, continue to present pervasive and inestimable risks that cannot be calculated.

Our recent interview with Professor Jack Heinemann on the scalability dilemma outlines this very real problem.

Biotechnology - Risk that scales up as efficiency increases. Heinemann on risk management & policy.

Physicians and Scientists for Global Responsibility (PSGR) New Zealand support an international ban on the genetic modification of human beings (HGM). Signatory to the declaration. March 13, 2023.
